Great stuff!
I'm with you, play the history. In the case of an historical thrashing I look to one or both of two things: the loser is expected to get a right drubbing, so anything better is a bonus for that player (pressure is on the person playing the historical winner) and/or adjust the victory conditions up a level for the historical and/or down for the historical loser.James Fisherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17897755636246185173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4809892888059311958.post-86332231985083748932020-02-11T19:50:53.666+13:002020-02-11T19:50:53.666+13:00Many thanks! :)Many thanks! :)Chasseurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04919997382932080898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4809892888059311958.post-35127109133817863462020-02-11T19:32:16.831+13:002020-02-11T19:32:16.831+13:00Superb as always Chasseur - wonderful motivational...Superb as always Chasseur - wonderful motivational inspiration to get my own Napoleonic projects back up and running 😁Marchariushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05322412921730511265noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4809892888059311958.post-52082889724121038762020-02-11T08:31:53.083+13:002020-02-11T08:31:53.083+13:00Thanks Iain! Thanks Iain!Chasseurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04919997382932080898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4809892888059311958.post-87201027803097954052020-02-11T00:39:31.096+13:002020-02-11T00:39:31.096+13:00Fabulous looking table with all your wonderful fig...Fabulous looking table with all your wonderful figures! It wouldn't be reasonable though to allow too much scope. I doubt any of those rearrangements ever allowed for the grenadiers and other veterans all being brigaded into one elite body ;-)
Cheers,
John Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13300265806211901729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4809892888059311958.post-57541407049108024342020-02-10T13:43:22.466+13:002020-02-10T13:43:22.466+13:00An entertaining and detailed write-up Mark. In our home-grown rules we count the skirmish screen losses toward those of the unit from which they came unless, as Jonathan says, they are a dedicated light unit where they would then take their own test. We really only test for breaks at the battalion level though, but have had situations where an inopportune rout has taken the rest of the brigade with it.Lawrence Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11626386564817082992noreply@blogger.com
