Wurzburg Fusiliers - 28mm Perry

Back to further painting for 1813-14.  I have a few more regiments done or near completion. Here is Wurzburg, one of the Confederation of the Rhine regiments that I keep coming across in orders of battle.

The earlier Wurzburg uniform looks almost identical to the earlier Austrian uniform with Raupenhelm, though the crest is just black without the yellow sides. This is the later uniform with more distinctive Shako pattern. I also painted this unit with unbleached linen trousers, except for the officer, to further distinguish them from Austrians!

Thanks for looking! Next will be some more 1813/14 French Guard units.

  6. A very handsome unit, mark! I have them in the earlier uniform, also by Perry, and I used the brown "Spanish" pants depicted on their website. also to make them stand out from any Austrians. For other Rheinbund regiments I have the Nassauers (Front Rank) and plan to do the "Franfurters" at some point.

    5. Hi Peter, I think I printed out a range of flags between 70%-100% and used perhaps an 80%, but it might have been full size. I can't remember honestly sorry! :)
