Some more artillery - Austrian Position Guns. Two twelve pounders, and two howitzers. Perry don't make 12 pounders (yet) so I used Front Rank ones. Also the two well fed Captains directing the howitzers are Front Rank, as I needed an extra couple of crew and didn't want to buy an entire extra pack from Perry. I might add a couple more of the Front Rank 12 pounders at some stage, as they work ok with the Perry figures I think.

Last of Plastic Austrians
The plastic Austrians are finally finished. With what was left over I decided to paint up two extra bases for each of my 36 strong helmeted regiments. That means I can use them as two 48's or four 24's. I also added a couple of Sappers, made using the Perry Plastic Sapper plus Victrix Grenadier head. They have a role in the Lasalle rules.
The mountain of stuff in the photo below is now all completely painted, except six casualty figures. Three and a half months from when I started assembling it, which I'm quite pleased about. :)
Of course I've bought more since this time, so more painted Austrians will be showing up on this blog shortly!

Austrian Landwehr Perry 28mm
Six regiments of Landwehr join the Austrian masses. Quicker to do thanks to all the black webbing these uniforms have! I went with grey jackets with coloured facings, as I want them to look the part for later campaigns. Perry miniatures again.
This lot also means I'm back in 3rd place in the Analogue painting challenge - just a battalion or two behind the two leaders... :)

Some close up shots of one of the regiments.
Very glad to have this mass of Austrian Line and Landwehr done. I've also painted up another 24 Austrian line infantry figures, so I now have the equivalent of 18 x 24 strong units completed. Now I can turn to some of the more colourful Austrian units.
