Austrian Cavalry Artillery, or "Wurst guns" (because the seats make them look like sausages) - the equivalent of other nations horse artillery. Some uncomfortable looking seats for the crew to ride on into battle as the guns were pulled by their limbers! Finished at the same time as my Austrian Line Artillery. All this artillery also put me into 3rd place again in the Analogue Paint Challenge!
Class! It is a pity that the brothers Perry did not foresee a hindrance seat for the gunner closing the firing chamber.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed! Thanks for your pages on these too, invaluable help!
DeleteI hope those seats are padded well for the poor guys!
ReplyDeletevery nice paint job.
Likewise, they don't look very comfortable at all!
DeleteVery nice! The leather covered carriage is particularly interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean!
Deleteawesome work!
ReplyDeletelove the leather covered seats you got it spot on referring as it looks "real"
great models, flocking of bases and brush work!
Thanks Phil!
DeleteVery nice work, your painting style is very pleasant and original. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
DeleteExcellent work on these fast foot guns! I especially like the rivet button detail on the leather seat cover. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks, and glad I bothered picking out the rivets then!
DeleteFantastic cavalry batteries Mark;I like the detail making the famed Bricoles stand out!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 such Perry guns with crew waiting to be painted since I bought them roughly 18 months ago. Eventually!
Cheers! They are nice models, and wheels fit better than the French guns. Rather a lot of flash in places though.
DeleteExcellent, a lovely big Austrian collection you've put together in such a short time!
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul, and yes growing a little bigger each week!
DeleteAnother great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil!
DeleteWonderful looking artillery Mark! Great work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Roger!
DeleteThose are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI've got a few Perry Austrians as well (you might recall them from the 2013 Leipzig game) - we should organise a game sometime and field a gigantic Austrian army between us!
Thanks Paul! And yes I well remember your own lovely and numerous Austrians. Indeed some big refights involving plenty of Austrians sounds like a grand idea. Plenty more Austrians to come from me too. :)
DeleteFantastic work.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteFantastic painted artillery! That leather looks so real! And good work on the shadings!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
