Austrian Cavalry Artillery Perry 28mm

Austrian Cavalry Artillery, or "Wurst guns" (because the seats make them look like sausages) - the equivalent of other nations horse artillery. Some uncomfortable looking seats for the crew to ride on into battle as the guns were pulled by their limbers! Finished at the same time as my Austrian Line Artillery. All this artillery also put me into 3rd place again in the Analogue Paint Challenge!

  1. Class! It is a pity that the brothers Perry did not foresee a hindrance seat for the gunner closing the firing chamber.

  7. Fantastic cavalry batteries Mark;I like the detail making the famed Bricoles stand out!

I have 2 such Perry guns with crew waiting to be painted since I bought them roughly 18 months ago. Eventually!

    1. Cheers! They are nice models, and wheels fit better than the French guns. Rather a lot of flash in places though.

  10. Those are fantastic.
I've got a few Perry Austrians as well (you might recall them from the 2013 Leipzig game) - we should organise a game sometime and field a gigantic Austrian army between us!

    1. Thanks Paul! And yes I well remember your own lovely and numerous Austrians. Indeed some big refights involving plenty of Austrians sounds like a grand idea. Plenty more Austrians to come from me too. :)
